What's New:

• According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers has pulled the theatrical release of Chain of Fools and is looking instead for a cable release, most likely on Warner's own HBO or Cinemax.
• Australia's TV Hits reports that Elijah's been seen about town with Natalie Portman (who's also been seen around Sydney with Hayden Christensen. Busy girl.) Apparently everyone is just being friendly.
• Check out the new LOTR poster...
• A cool 2 minute trailer for Lord of the Rings is on the official website. A frame by frame look at the trailer is available here. The preview is popular! On the first day it was available 1.7 million people downloaded it, surpassing the record set by the Star Wars trailer.
• Elijah has bought a house in Wellington while filming Lord of the Rings. He apparently loves the serenity of the area and the locals don't make such a fuss over him as they do in the states.
• Filming has resumed (1/20/00) on The Lord of the Rings after a break for the holidays. Ian McKellen (Gandalf) is now in NZ as well as Elijah Wood (Frodo), Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), John Rhys-Davies (Gimli) and the rest of the Hobbits with the exception of Ian Holm (Bilbo) who is scheduled to arrive in February.
• Look for pictures of Elijah in the latest issue of Women's Day (also an interview with fellow LOTR cast member Liv Tyler)
• Elijah is in New Zealand filming the 1st installment of the Tolkien trilogy (an 14 month shoot!); he plays the lovable hobbit, Frodo in Lord of the Rings, filming began October 11th; for latest update on the filming: theonering.net
• Black and White had its world premiere at Telluride (Sept 3-6); it was also screened at the Toronto Film Festival (Sept 9-18); it's currently being shown in select theaters across the US

I like Elijah Wood because I think he is a very talented actor and I enjoy most of his movies especially The Faculty because my favourite scene is when Stokely and Stan kiss and he laughs at them. I also liked Flipper because he saved a life of a dolphin and Deep Impact when he saved his wife. He is very good looking and I know he has a great career in acting in front of him.

I just wanted to tell you that the "Lord of the Rings"- movie is gonna be a real hit! Why I know that, I'm not permitted to tell (I know this will sound kinda weird to you), but this is one of the best things Elijah ever did, maybe it is even THE VERY BEST THING. And he really fits the role of Frodo, I'm sure of that, but I think most of you are sure of that too, aren't you?

comments: Cute little Elijah is growing up into a fine looking young man. With an impressive career already, Elijah seems ready, and indeed has, to make the leap from cute kid star to cute adult star. His role in last year's Flipper showed a much more mature Elijah. Still, his work as a kid actor has been pretty impressive, but he seems to just get better with age. He was in last year's Disney TV movie version of "Oliver Twist" and in the film, Deep Impact.  Elijah's last project, The Faculty is out on video and DVD. His next release will be Chain of Fools, a comedy about a barber who has a bad day, also with Lara Flynn Boyle, Salma Hayek and Jeff Goldblum, among others. Elijah will also soon be seen in Black and White, a story of a documentary filmmaker, a group of white New York high-schoolers, and their fascination with the hip-hop movement. Elijah stars alongsode Bijou Phillips and Julia Styles and others. Look for him next year as Frodo in The Lord of the Rings, and has signed on for all three in the Tolkien trilogy, now shooting back to back in New Zealand, with an 18 month shooting schedule.
