APPLICATION TO JOIN THE YMS INTERNSHIP TEAM

Interns work with the various YMS departments on both routine site updates and special projects. Past interns have been instrumental in starting both our Footballers section and our Boybands section; written movie and video reviews; and helped design some of the cool games currently running on YMS homepage.

Internships last 3 months and are renewable. We ask that you committ to at least three months and no more than 15 hours a week. You will work from your own home, and telecommute to YMS, just like most of our staff.

YMS Interns are not paid, they are volunteer positions. Interns can receive a letter of recommendation at the end of their terms. Some of our past interns have used their YMS experience to get internships and jobs with other entertainment sites and magazines.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility requirements for the YMS Intern Program:

  • you must be at least 16 years of age
  • if under 18, written parental permission is required
  • you must be a resident of the planet Earth
  • you must be a major fan of at least ONE of the stars featured on YMS homepage
  • you must be a member of the Friends List
  • no experience required!
  • you must submit an online application and go through an interview

  • interviews are conducted by either email or phone, depending on availability
  • candidates will be notified of their acceptance no later than July 15, 2000
  
 
All applications will be considered. We are looking for enthusiastic people, so experience and computer knowledge are NOT required. If you have skills in web design and maintenance, that's cool, but not necessary.
