Singers Britney Spears and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake are reportedly tying the knot, which won't be music to the ears of Jive Records music executives and
fans.
While head honchos in the music biz frown upon their teen heartthrobs gettin'hitched, the teenagers decided to get engaged anyway during a trip to New York
City two weeks ago, said London's News of the World.
The curly-haired Timberlake supposedly dropped to one knee in a cafe and slipped a diamond ring - worth $45,000 - onto Spears' finger.
"They haven't set a date for the big day," said a source close to Timberlake. "They're just taking things slowly. The engagement is a very private matter for them. I don' think they've even told their parents."
In 1993, the pair met on the set of "The Mickey Mouse Club" and began "dating on and off" when Spears opened for *NSYNC's 1998 U.S. tour.
Both Spears and Timberlake were unavailable for comment.
