YMS Adopters Meet Take 5!

Adopt-a-Star member, Heather and her friend, Lisa, got to meet the lads of Take 5 when they opened for Britney Spears in concert in Cleveland.

Well, Britney Spears was here (Cleveland) in concert & Take 5 were opening. Lisa & I didn't have tickets but we went down to the arena in hopes of seeing Take 5. We waited there all night, ppl offering to give us tix, which we refused, didn't want to miss the boys! So we sat there talking to limo drivers and others, getting tip offs on where they might be or come out at. Well after talking to this one guy, we realized we had forgotten this one hotel, good thing we were reminded too ;) For like 45 min we stood by where the buses come out, but that didn't really do any good, they just drove, no one came out so...we left. We proceeded to drive around downtown, when we passed this hotel, the one we forgot was there, and outside we saw 2 tour buses, we just kinda looked at each other with a smile. Then as we kept driving we saw Tilky and Ryan and their choreographer in the lobby! We were like OMG it's them. So we parked & walked right inside. We slowly walked up to them and just kinda looked at them as they looked at us, not sure what to say at first. We politely asked for an auotgraph. As we walked down the hallway, talked for a bit, they asked what our favorite songs were and yadda yadda. Then they took a pic with us, they were so sweet. We walked with them outside, then they started running across the street. We were like, umm ok, I guess we're leaving. Then as we started walking to the car, they called for us from across the street so we went over. We talked for a lil bit more, they gave us hugs, then they wanted us to play a joke on Stevie. So they told us Stevies room number and said if we got really bored go to this room #, which was TJ's room. So we go back in the hotel and go up to the room and knock. Well some guy answered the door in a towel, it WASN'T Stevie. Needless to say I stood there like a moron not knowing what to say now. So much for the plan. It turned out the 1/2 naked guy was Stevie's brother...lol (He's a hot one too!) We talked to him for bout 15 min, and knocked on Tj's door since it was across the hall, spoke with him briefly. Then Stevie came walking around the corner. We talked to him a bit, got an autograph and a pic ( god he smelled good!), showed him our tattoos (lol). Meanwhile when he saw my piercing (my tracheus), he's like, "owwwwww, didn't that hurt?" I'm like "umm nope." He's like "ur lying, dont lie, it hurt, ur lying." It was hillarious. He was crackin us up. Then we went in the elevator and walked with him out of the hotel and went home. So we got to spend a pretty decent amount of time with them. They were really sweet guys! I hope to see them again, in concert and in person :)

Adopt-a-Star member, Michelle B from the Danny Zavatsky page team recently won a contest and the prize was meeting the boys of Take 5 (and others!). Here's her Take 5 story...

I was talking to my friend on the phone about how I had this feeling I'd meet Take 5, my fave group, soon. The next day I check my e-mail and I got one with the subject "Meet Take 5". At first I thought it was a joke but I called the number anyway. The lady told me that they were holding auditions for Take 5 fans who want to be on a game show for them. I went and auditioned for the show and she told me that everyone will come to the taping and they'll announce the three contestants there. I was soo excited! A couple days later my mom gave me some stuff she said came in the mail. It was a Take 5 shirt, hat, and 5 new promo pictures. On the 14th of April I headed back up to L.A. for the taping. We got there early and went into the trailer. They sent me to a room with my name on the door it was cool. I had to go to the bathroom and they told us we had to be escorted to it. So the same lady who interviewed me and stuff (Tara) took me to the bathroom. As I'm walking out I look over at these trailers by the one I was in. Some one was coming out of one but I couldn't see him. Then I got closer and realized it was Ryan I totaly freaked but tried to act like I didn't see him. I went back to my room and the producer came in and asked if I saw him and she started laughing at me it was funny. I had a little window in my room and the guys were just walking around outside because all the girls were inside. I could see them all jsut walking around and my nose was all pushed up against the glass but they didn't see me thank god. They took me to make up and I was waiting my turn so I watched thme practice dancing. We were there for 4 hours so they gave us food then sent me back to make up. As I was walking to the trailer Steve and Tilky were walking out. Me and the other girls said "Hey steve"and he said "Waz up ladies" ahh I almost died. They did my hair and make-up this time. We walked into were they were taping the show and it took them forever to start. They called the first name and then the second name. Neither of them were me and I was worried I didn't make it. The last name they called was mine I was soooo excited. You don't even know. We went backstage and got microphones on and all. When we went back on the host said that they had a surprise that we didn't know about. Next thing we know our rooms are on the screen behind us. Our mom's let them tape our rooms and our mom's talked about how we love Take 5. It was really embarassing. We got to our spots and the host started saying what we had to do. Then she said "But who am I to judge if they really know Take 5" . Next thing we know their new single "Shake It Off" is playing and this huge stretch humvee is driving onstage. Then the screen behind us lite up and there they were inside the car. We had to answer the question first and then pick a key. We then had to try to see if the key unlocked the car. I knew every answer but unfortunatly was too slow pushing my buzzer so I didn't win. But after Steve came over and gave me a hug and took a picture with me. I sat down to watch them performe and while I was waiting this lady from Seventeen magazine came top interview me. The guys then came out and sang. The producer took us back to the trailer to hang out with them. It was just me and the other girl who didn't win. It was soo great. We got to talk to them for a while and take pictures. I got my pictures signed. Then Steve said "we're going to give you guys tickets to our show and we're gonna let you be in the video." I was trying soo hard to play it cool it was hard. I mean wouldn't you freak. I thought I was dreaming. The cutest part was when they were looking for a pen he said "oh Michelle has one". I was like ahh he knows my name. I was soo happy for my friend. She loves T.J. and I was telling him about her. She came back to see me and didn't know the guys were back there. So I called T.J. to come out and I was like this is my friend. And he said" oh so you're Emily". She was sooo happy. After that the guys left for the kids choice awards party. I had hung out with them for like a half hour. It was so unbelievable. I would have thought it was dream if I didn't have the pictures to prove it. But little did I know the next few days would be even better. Sunday April 16 We drove up to L.A. again for the video taping and I went up with a friend there. We were just standing around then the guys drove up and headed to their trailers. They came out one by one to check out the stage. Steve was just hanging around and my friend was all I want a picture but I can't ask. So I got gutsy and yelled "Hey Steve". He smiled and to my surprise walked toward me. He gave me a huge hug and said "hey babe" after he hugged me he said "so what you doing girl?" We talked for a few and I gave him my letter I wrote him (it was just to say thanx and all) and we took a picture. After more people from the show came we walked by the trailer. Tilky came and gave me huge hug but I just got my cartlidge pierced and he pulled it on his sweater it hurt sooo bad. He felt really bad. Then we talked to T.J. It was like we were all just friends. Then we started taping we had to dance with a bunch of other people. It was supposed to be like a rave. It was soo much fun. After we went to eat. We sat with this guy named Steban and we were talking really crazy. Next thing I know someone jumpsdown and sits next to me; it was Steve. It totally caught me by surprise. We talked for a while and then I had to go home. But I almost forgot before we left Tilky asked if I'd be back tomorrow. I said probably not and he like started begging me to come back. So of course I had. The second day it rained. I was worried it wouldn't stop but it did so they taped. We got to talk to the guys some more and Steve walked by and winked at me. I almost passed out. We danced some more and then they had to tape this thing for special effects. So the guy is explaining how they need to dance like there are little space ships coming at them. Steve says "like in batteries not included" the guys says "yeah". Then he said "Oh kewl will they have like little legs and stuff" and he was making his fingers walk and sticking his tounge out and saying yeah. It was soo funny. The first day they were taping they couldn't find Ryan so T.J. picks up the megaphone and says "Ryan Goodell paging Ryan Goodell get you a$$ to the stage". It was funny too. I came back the last day and had to leave before they got there. But guess who was sitting next to me ? Aaron Carter!!! I took my picture with him he is soo little and cute. It was soo much fun. The coolest part was how it was just like we were old friends with them. They are soo sweet and you don't have to ask for hugs they just give them. I love Take 5 Sooooo much!:)
