comments: Joe Perrino had his first starring role playing the young Shakes in the dark, but engrossing, Sleepers. With considerably less experience than co-star Brad Renfro, Joe turned in the best performance amongst the younger cast members, and is definitely one to watch. Joe made his film debut earlier that year alongside Demi Moore in the forgettable The Juror. But it was his work on Sleepers that gave Joe the acting bug, and he plans to pursue a career in acting. Look for Joe next in The Mighty with Kieran Culkin. And he's on board along with Elijah Wood in The Bumblebee Flies Away. We hope to see much more of this young hunk in the years to come.
