comments: Lanky DJ Qualls got his big break after he auditioned for a one-line part in an Atlanta casting office for Road Trip. Instead he landed the part of Kyle, a sheltered skittish virgin. Interview magazine calls him "the love child of Gomer Pyle and Olive Oil" and a most unlikely star. But to everyone's surprise, it was DJ who stole the movie from his more pretty co-stars. Blessed witha comic genius and great timing, DJ is headed for bigger and better things. He appears next in Cherry Falls, a teen slasher flick. And Barry Sonnenfeld cast him in his upcoming Big Trouble alongside Tim Allen and Katie Holmes, among others. DJ grew up in rural Tennessee, and his one goal was to get out. He attended the University of London and graduated in three years. "I'm the first (in my family) to graduate from high school," says DJ. Awww, we think he's kinda cute. We hope he goes far.
