where is he now: A truly great comedic actor, Anthony Michael Hall had his 15 minutes of fame in the mid 80's and then everything seemed to fall apart. But there was a period in his career that is nothing short of brilliant, highlighted by Sixteen Candles, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club. He even spent a season as a cast member on "SNL", back when it was actually good. But then who knows what happened... the producers stopped calling? He did a few small parts in some pretty great films (Edward Scissorhands and Six Degrees of Separation) before really slipping into obscurity. You've got to know it's time to hang it up when you do a guest shot on "Murder She Wrote", the "Love Boat" of the late 80's and 90's. But the man keeps working. Sad really, he had such a great start. We'll always remember the lovable nerd in Breakfast Club; and the lovable nerd in Weird Science; and the lovable nerd in NL's Vacation. Hey wait a minute! Perhaps he just got too old to play the lovable adolescent nerd. Catch him currently in the Bill Gates/Steve Jobs bio-pic "The Pirates of Silicon Valley".
