comments: No, they're not a boyband, they're just a group of talented musicians who've been writing and performing together for 5 years. The three met in high school and weere drawn by a mutual love for playing in a rock band and punk music. Based in Los Angeles, Eve 6 hit the charts hard with their self-titled CD. Signed to RCA Records while still in high school, the CD produced one breakaway hit, "Inside Out". You haven't been listening to radio if you haven't heard it. Check out the rest of the CD, which has many influences, catchy licks and heartfelt lyrics. Band member Max explains: "We'll listen to classic singer-songwriters like Elvis Costello and Tom Petty on the one hand, and noisy pop like the Pixies, Jawbreaker and the Muffs on the other." Recorded in LA, New York and Seattle with engineer Don Gilmore (who's worked with X and John Doe), the CD was recorded mostly in our fair city of Seattle, the boys winning over local fans with a number of hot shows at Seattle's clubs. "Inspire me," sings Max in "Small Town Trap," the final song on the album and a paean to making something of yourself. "Something's gonna happen soon/ Because it must."
