comments: For only being 19 years old, Joey has quite an impressive list of accomplishments. He's been a regular on 3 television series (currently in "3rd Rock"); been in some major films, and had some very meaty roles in made-for-TV movies. No doubt because he's quite the actor. Says Joey of his current role: "I've never gotten to play anything besides a kid before and now I'm playing not only an alien, but I'm also playing an old man and a kid... It's so different from anything else. This is the kind of role you hope to play." Joey won the Hollywood Reporter's Young Star Award as best actor in a feature film for his role in Angels in the Outfield. and twice for Best Performance by a Young Actor in a TV Comedy for his role as Tommy in "Third Rock From the Sun". Joey seems very level headed about the kind of work he does. He says that he choses his friends who aren't awestruck by his movie career. As far as the teen mags go: "I try to stay the heck out of them with all my effort and all my might. There's nothing more on this planet that I hate more than the teen magazines. Unfortunately lots of people read them, so I publicize my shows in them. Any time they ask questions about me, I answer about the movie."
