comments: Who is Wes Bentley? Out of nowhere, it seems, comes a breakthrough performance from a soon to be rising star out of Arkansas, the state that gave us Bill Clinton. Playing the intelligent and independent teen, Ricky Fitts, in 1999's American Beauty, Wes was able to pull off a role as a drug dealer that we all loved. It helps that he's gorgeous in a dark brooding way, a real standout among the current crop of Vanderbeeks and Kleins. Yet, this was not Wes' first role. For those three people out there that saw Ophra's Beloved, he played the school teacher's nephew. He was also in a German production, Three Below Zero. And look for him next opposite Ellen Barkin in The White River Kid. We think there's gonna be a lot more written about this talented new actor in the years to come. Wathc out world, here comes Wes!
