comments: James Franco plays one of the freaks on the gaining in popularity and excelelntly done series "Freaks and Geeks". He plays Daniel, the nihilistic burnout who rides life for all it's worth. Prior to joining the cast of "Freaks and Geeks" James had a role in the mini-series "To Serve and Protect" and a role in Drew Barrymore's Never Been Kissed. Look for James next in Whatever It Takes, a modern day Cyrano de Bergerac, where he plays a popular high school jock who helps out school nerd Shane West to win over class babe Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (She's All That). And he's also been signed to play James Dean in the TNT bio pic. Production begins mid-June in Los Angeles.
