comments: Twenty-one year old Rodney Scott made a splash playing 70's teen idol David Cassidy in the Patridge family bio-pic. He certainly is cute enough to play the part. With minor guets shots on "The X Files" (where he played the kid who could move really fast) and "Promised Land" (as a runaway), Rodney is poised for something bigger and better. Along comes ABC's newest mid-season replacement series, "Young Americans", and Rodney's in that too. In the new series Rodney plays the kid from the wrong side of the tracks who will do anything to get out. Rodney's a relative newcomer to tinsletown, arriving in LA a mere 2 1/2 years ago. As the story goes, Rodney went to work sending out over 30 resumes, listing things he really hadn't done. The strategy paid off, he got 27 interviews. The guy's got what it takes, now doesn't he? Catch Rodney in the new series and the rest is either history or more resumes.

- The WB has declined to order up any more episodes of "Young Americans" and the series is currently in limbo. (Pity, it's always the good ones that get scrapped.) The rumor is that MTV is interested in picking it up. Maybe a few letters to the folks at MTV might help?
