comments: Ian Somerhalder has been modelling since age 10. At 15 he set out on his own to model in New York during summers, and also in Europe. At some point, Ian decided he needed more of a challenge and began to study acting. You can catch Ian in the WB's hot summer replacement series, "Young Americans" where he plays Hamilton Fleming, the dean's son. And Ian plays him very well. Up next for this hottie: he's writing a screenplay, a "parody on beauty" he says. Stay tuned for more. And he wants to direct and produce also. We tend to think he can do just about anything he wants.

- The WB has declined to order up any more episodes of "Young Americans" and the series is currently in limbo. (Pity, it's always the good ones that get scrapped.) The rumor is that MTV is interested in picking it up. Maybe a few letters to the folks at MTV might help?
