Skandal

 

the story: They saw the adverts in "The Stage" magazine, they answered the calls, they made the auditions, until each was chosen to be part of Britain's newest boy band sensation, Skandal. The boys moved in together into a small flat in Southend-on-Sea. They chose the name, choreographed some routines, wrote some raps, picked some songs and came up with their look. The rest is history.

• Skandal to open for 5ive: the lads will be opening for 5ive on their upcoming UK tour! See the schedule above.
• New hairstyles: Matty has had all his hair shaved off; Matt has purple hair now; and Darren's spikes are shorter
• Matty gets his wisdom teeth yanked: Matty was in hospital on Nov 3rd to have his wisdom teeth pulled
• YMS Adopt-a-Star memeber Jen wins a date with Skandal! That's right, our very own Jen has won a TV Hits contest and the prize is a date with Skandal. The plan was to meet the lads in London on 10/27 and have lunch and muck around in a video arcade. Photogs from TV Hits were along to cover the event. Look for Jenn and Skandal in an upcoming issue. Way to go Jen!
• "Champagne Highway" debuted at #53 on the UK charts.
• The boys are hard at work recording their album and promoting the new single
• The lads like junk food like Pizza Hut, fried chicken and sweats, but Fletch prefers they eat more healthfully
• James is the only one to pass his driving test so far
• Skandal has a shot at appearing on the UK morning show "Big Breakfast" as they focus on boybands
• Mattie B has been busy phoning new fans; that's right, the newest Skandal member makes a point to phone up some of the new fans to thank them! From the cards handed out at recent shows, Skandal has been busy calling fans, trying to wade through 5000 phone calls in the UK!
• Skandal recently appeared in Top of the Pops
• As all Skandal fans know, Fletch (Matthew Fletcher) is the band's tour manager/bodyguard/driver/flatmate
• Skandal is currently doing an under 18 club tour around the UK; see below for tour details
• Skandal recently toured the UK, opening for 5ive
• Steve left the group, replaced by Matt
• Signed with Ginga Records (also home of 911)
• Currently working on a recording with producer Andy Whitmore, (the latest track is called "Secret Party") look for Skandal to hit the road soon!
