comments: Balthazar has quite an impressive list of films under his belt already. An excellent actor, and a cutie to boot, he's working his way towards a fine career (heck, he already has one!) He's been involved in some of the greatest teen flicks of the 90's: Lord of the Flies , December , Where the Day Takes You , and White Squall . And he's had some great roles in quite a number of other minor hits. Balthazar's had the starring role in David Lynch's deliciously quirky Lost Highway . The film got rave reviews and he's actually very good in it. We keep hoping one of these times Balthazar gets the recognition he deserves. We hear that he's a rap artist, and has been producing for a rap band called "Mannish". We think he's just great!

- Balthazar is part of a large ensemble cast in the film Deuces Wild, which began filming in LA recently. Set in 1958, the drama centers on a group of young people who inhabit the heart of Brooklyn during the year that their beloved Dodgers deserted them and moved to Los Angeles. Also in the cast: Stephen Dorff, Brad Renfro, Matt Dillon, Frankie Muniz and Deborah Harry. Scott Kalvert (The Basketball Diaries) is directing the United Artists project from a script by Christopher Gambale from his original story "The Neighborhood". Martin Scorsese is executive producing.

Shadow Hours, directed by Isaac Eaton, is a Faustian tale in which a recovering addict (Balthazar Getty) is taken by a sinister stranger (Peter Weller) on a bizarre nocturnal tour of L.A. Premiered at Sundance January 2000.
