comments: Born in Puerto Rico, Ricky Martin has had quite a career. Starting with membership in the first boyband, Menudo. Ricky left the group to pursue a solo career and acting, moving to New York where he appeared in a musical. He then landed a role on the popular Mexican soap opera Mas que Alcanzar Una Estrella, and even earned the equivelant of the Mexican Academy Award for his role as Pablo in the film version. In 1993 he moved to LA and landed a few guest shots on a sitcom before settling into a two year stint on General Hospital. In the meantime, Ricky was busy recording and soon he returned to his first love, music. He's released 4 solo albums and various remixes, plus he sang and recorded the official song of World Cup 1998. And he brought down the house at the 41st Annual Grammy's and was named Best Latin Pop Performance. His American album, released by Columbia is getting airplay and this latin hunk is finally getting the notice he deserves. Notice Ricky Martin.
